I’ve started work on the inner part of the wing (which joins to the panel which was resprayed in the last post). Whilst taking off the old paint, I inadvertently created a piece of art…!

I couldn’t believe the amount of paintwork which this wing has seen! From the photos, it looks like it has been resprayed around 7 times. The panel has it’s fair share of filler and patchwork.

The preparation wheel I was using on my angle grinder had worn down so I couldn’t get all the old paint off. Will pop to Screwfix later and pick up some new ones and finish off the job tomorrow.

I reckon I’ll have to re-do those patches and maybe the folded sections where it joins to the outer wing. You can see what happens here.
