My current mission is to overhaul the bodywork of the taxi in preparation for summer. There are some common issues amongst all of these vehicles, the main one being rust, the other being extremely poor electronics. Both of these issues are caused by moisture of some sort, which is unfortunate as the taxi is as waterproof as a sponge, and the fusebox is located just below the leaking windscreen.

The engine is in very good condition. It has a relatively high mileage of above 300,000, however that is fairly normal for this type of vehicle. The Nissan Terrano 2.7 purrs along nicely on diesel, and even vegetable oil! There isn’t much to be done mechanically, as it all works as it should. Time to time I’ll replace the oils, and check all the normal stuff to keep it ticking over.
